Overview
The empties for auto-doffer machines are held on the spindles either by spring button or clutch. In a clutch system the buttons move out by centrifugal force created by rotation. But over a period of time, grooves form inside the empties near the button area.
As grooving affects the fitment and seating, doffing time increases — causing a loss of production time and efficiency. KONEO provides the solution: an automatic bobbin reaming system that reams the inside of empties to enable smooth pressing and doffing of bobbins.
